From Overwhelm to Calm

Reconnect with yourself through present-moment awareness

Support for anxiety, ADHD, burnout, perimenopause, LGBTIQA+, relationships, and life transitions.

Online counselling for
your emotional and mental wellbeing

Experience therapy that feels personal, deeply human, and guided by a registered Gestalt therapist with lived experience and insight.

It is natural to feel anxious, overwhelmed, or weighed down by self-doubt. These are not signs of failure. They are part of being human. Often, they are a quiet signal that something within is asking to be noticed. Counselling offers a space to pause, reflect, and gently explore what is unfolding beneath the surface.

Online counselling across Australia offers a flexible and accessible way to receive support, all from the comfort of your own space. Whether you live in Sydney, a regional area, or elsewhere, you can connect with a qualified counsellor who works with you in the present moment.

My Approach

Hi, I’m Priscilla (she/her). I’m a PACFA-registered counsellor trained in Gestalt therapy, supported by somatic and CBT-informed approaches.

My style is steady, collaborative, and practical. I focus on creating a space where you can slow down, reflect, and explore what’s happening for you without pressure.

I see therapy as a relational process that considers the whole person, your thoughts, your body, your environment, and your lived experience.

We work at your pace, with care and respect, in a space that is inclusive and LGBTIQA+ affirming.

What you can expect from therapy with me

Many people who come to therapy with me are used to holding a lot on their own.

From the outside, they often appear capable and steady, but internally things can feel overwhelming or unclear.

What they’re often looking for is a space where they don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or have it all figured out.

I bring a calm, steady presence to each session, alongside practical support and genuine curiosity about your experience.

Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It’s about creating space to understand what’s happening, reconnect with yourself, and explore what feels meaningful, at your own pace.

At Rising Phoenix Counselling, I offer a safe, steady space to explore what’s happening for you, with care, curiosity, and practical support.

As a PACFA-registered counsellor, I draw on Gestalt therapy, supported by somatic and CBT-informed approaches. Each session is shaped around your pace, your needs, and what feels most relevant for you.

Based in Sydney, I work online across Australia, offering accessible support to clients in both major cities and regional areas.

Whether you’re looking for deeper exploration or more practical support, sessions offer a private, inclusive space to reconnect with yourself.

Online counselling offers a calm, private way to receive consistent support, wherever you are.

Psychotherapy and
deeper exploration

Move beyond simply managing symptoms.

Create space to explore your experience with more depth and awareness, at your own pace.

Together, we may:

  • Gently explore patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses

  • Process past experiences at a pace that feels right for you

  • Connect with your values, identity, and inner sense of self

  • Notice and shift patterns that no longer feel supportive

  • Build greater awareness through present-moment experience

Life Transitions and
Burnout Support

Support through high-pressure phases of life, with more clarity and steadiness

Whether you’re facing a career shift or a deeper internal change, we can work together to:

  • Recover from chronic stress and high-functioning burnout

  • Navigate perimenopause and mid-life transitions with care

  • Explore identity shifts, relocation, or life direction changes

  • Find steadier ways to respond to stress and pressure

  • Develop practical strategies that feel sustainable for you

What is Gestalt therapy?

Gestalt therapy focuses on present-moment awareness, helping you notice patterns, understand your needs, and respond with more clarity.

Rather than just analysing the past, we stay close to your direct experience in the here and now. This creates space to gently explore what’s unfolding for you and can support deeper healing over time.

This approach empowers you to move from coping toward a more grounded, authentic, and resilient way of being.

Frequently asked questions about
online counselling

Q: Is online counselling as effective as in-person therapy?
A: Yes. Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions for many concerns, including anxiety and depression. Many people also find that being in their own familiar space makes it easier to open up and engage more consistently.

Q: How many sessions will I need?

A: Every journey is unique. Some people find clarity within 6–12 sessions when working through a specific issue, while others prefer longer-term therapy for deeper exploration. We’ll check in regularly to make sure the pace feels right for you.

Q: Do you offer support for specific concerns like ADHD, perimenopause, or burnout?
A: Yes. I support adults navigating life transitions, high-pressure periods, and identity shifts. My approach is neuro-affirming and LGBTIQA+ inclusive.

This may include support with:

  • ADHD and executive functioning: navigating burnout, late-diagnosis transitions, and emotional regulation

  • Women’s wellbeing: perimenopause, hormonal changes, and identity shifts in mid-life

  • High-functioning burnout: chronic stress, career changes, and relocation

  • Mental health and workplace stress: relationship pressure, high-demand roles, and ongoing workplace stress

Whether you’re in Sydney or accessing online counselling across Australia, each session is shaped around your individual needs and pace.

Q: How do I know if we're a good fit?
A: The relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute connection call. It’s a low-pressure way for us to meet, talk through what you’re looking for, and see if my approach feels like the right fit for you.
